Kathmandu, Nepal - March 2027

This March, SECC will partner with ITEC in Kathmandu, Nepal to bring practical hope and healing through farm training. You’ll see firsthand how small changes can transform whole communities. Farmers are learning how to create their own fertilizer, hand-fertilize soil, and avoid traditional tilling methods that strip the land. These practices help increase yields, lower costs, and empower farmers to provide for their families while teaching others. Add in basic finance training, and families are equipped not just to grow food but to steward their resources wisely.

If you have no prior experience in farming, don’t worry—you can come along as an observer, learning and supporting as ITEC leads. If you do have skills, you’ll be invited to step in and help teach. Either way, you’ll be part of a meaningful and unforgettable experience.

This is an exciting, joy-filled trip that blends hard work with creativity and cross-cultural connection. If your heart is stirring, we’d love for you to join us in Kathmandu!

There are a few requirements to attend this trip.

1. Complete a Southeast Volunteer Application.

2. If age 18 or over, complete the online MinistrySafe training.

3. All trips require a deposit, which is non-refundable. The IRS considers all monies going towards a mission trip as a charitable donation. To comply with IRS guidelines, we are unable to refund any monies submitted.

4. All passports must be valid six (6) months after return date. If your passport will be expiring within that time frame, it will need to be renewed ASAP. 

5. Most common food allergens: Dairy in queso and cream; gluten in tortillas; peanuts/tree nuts in sauces such as mole or baked sweets.
